Asian Arabic makeup look

She's really good and hilarious! I've seen lots of Caucasian youtubers trying out the 'Arab look' but she's the only Asian I've seen so far who has attempted it and it looks good. I like videos like hers where the creator doesn't talk and just speeds up everything with a soundtrack on. Indicating to the piece of makeup being used with a list of things used at the side is good enough. Commentary is often annoying and creepy.

I like that she did a little dance at the start! The later bit of the vid where the camera is roaming feels voyeuristic and creepy though but since she's so fabulous that's still alright! I'm thinking of something like this for stage make-up.

However, it might end up like creepy hollows where the eyes should be. I've used creepy in each of my 3 paragraphs now! Oh well been a long time since I've been on stage I should experiment.

Just thought this was funny

I won't be happy until I can fly across oceans and cities, saving people from being murdered.

Guess who said that? Heather Graham. So cute.

Flamenco

Aside from raqs sharqi, I am also interested in flamenco. I know there are a few dancers who like to incorporate the two into a 'fusion' but I like them separately. I would like to learn flamenco some day. What a lovely passionate dance! I prefer solo dances because I don't like being touched (why I stopped salsa and ballroom lol) and because of the lack of individuality in group dances. Don't get me wrong, I do like group dances but now is not the time yet as I still have a few issues I need to resolve. So, aside from a few types of Indian dances, the only solo-performing dances I know of are flamenco and raqs sharqi, I'll delve into them. I can't seriously get into ballet anymore for obvious reasons, nor tap. The only other one would be hip hop but I'm not interested in it.

I loved the teamwork of group dances and the fact that rehearsals were always fun so I'd go back to that soon once I'm back in school. But anyway, here's a video that got me hooked.

More current star...Randa Kamel!

Some videos for inspirations

I look up to these legendary dancers. I want to dance like them. Someday soon!

for costume references and because I love her:

I loooove this song:

Though it's not related, I'll just include some stuff on Princess Fawzia because she was so lovely. Don't know what she looks
like now though. Must be still incredibly elegant!

And here we go!

'You are not of this world, Dance when you are naked, Dance when you are broken open, Dance when you have torn the bandages off, Dance in the middle of the fighting, Dance in your blood, Dance when you are perfectly free.' - Jalaladdin Rumi

Hi I'm Lestari and I'm going to dance again.
